Overview
Tri-Alliance is a shared services organization committed to empowering not-for-profit and charitable organizations by providing comprehensive back-office support. We partner with and support three Community Living agencies: Community Living Owen Sound & District, Community Living Walkerton & District, and Bruce Peninsula Association for Community Living. Our services include program and project management, business administration, financial services and payroll, communications and marketing, recruitment and retention, and industry advocacy. By streamlining these essential functions, Tri-Alliance enables these organizations to focus on delivering impactful community services and achieving their missions more effectively.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of People & Culture to lead our human resources initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture. This role is pivotal in shaping the employee experience, driving talent acquisition, and enhancing employee relations. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for developing people within the organization.

Duties

  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies, addressing areas such as succession planning, performance management, compensation, benefits, health and safety, and staff recognition.
  • Provide leadership in fostering a values-driven culture and integrating best practices in human resources and organizational development.
  • Assist in the development of the agencies’ strategic and annual operating plans, offering input and advice to align HR practices with organizational goals.
  • Develop, revise, and ensure compliance with HR and personnel policies in response to evolving legislative requirements and organizational needs.
  • Lead labour relations, including grievance management, collective agreement administration, and compliance with employment laws and workplace safety standards.
  • Design and manage innovative recruitment, selection, and retention programs to attract and retain top talent, including developing promotional and recruitment materials.
  • Develop and implement management training and staff development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Oversee health and safety programs, ensuring comprehensive policies and fostering a culture of workplace safety and employee well-being.
  • Monitor and analyze HR indicators, maintain documentation on HR risks, and provide regular reports to mitigate potential risks to the agencies.
  • Participate in leadership teams and committees, contribute to budget planning, reallocate resources as needed, and act as the organization’s privacy officer.

Requirements

  • Completed Post Secondary Education in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation or working towards designation.
  • 5 years of management experience in human resources, preferably in the human services field.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Strong organizational development and change management skills, particularly in the areas of quality service, staff development, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Must have strong, demonstrated labour relations expertise.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Strong communication and team building skills.
  • Experience in organizational development, change management and cultural renewal initiatives.
  • Familiarity with DEI programs and creating an inclusive work place
  • Solid understanding of HR software, including time and attendance, payroll, and HR systems.

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
